Hi folks

Is anyone playing in the play day on 9 August 2008 in Highbury & Islington? My teacher got me involved in it. I really don't know the logistics but was wondering if anyone else was involved in it. After the play day, my teacher's off to the ELLSO summer week. I definitely want to get involved in that next year.

Happy playing

Just come back from the ELLSO summer week and it was really brilliant! I'm not sure which instrument you play but ALL the tutors were fantastic - do go next year if you possibly can!

Hi primrose

Check out the website www.chamberacademy.co.uk and all details are on there. My teacher gave me the music a few weeks ago as she's involved in it. We're playing Fantasia on a theme of Thomas Tallis for double string orchestra by Vaughan Williams. The workshop is £15 for the day. Have a look on the website. Let me know what you think

Wow! It sounds good fun. I play the viola as well. How did you find it? What does the summer week entail?

I found this thread a few days ago and I have decided to go for the five day course at the end of October. Thanks for giving the Chamber Academy link, Greenie. I have been looking out for something like this for a while now, and none of my seaches have come up with this one.

That sounds great - but the timing doesn't work out for me this time... sad.gif Do let us know of any other events...

That's a pity, willobie. It's at half term, which suits me well - I couldn't go otherwise.
