Hi there.
I am studying Grade 6 Piano and am confused by the meaning of these broken diagonal lines linking notes between staffs in Handels Gigue.
I assume they are to do wih fingering notes in the upper staff with the left hand (for example) but am not sure.
Any help would be illuminating.

Not quite but almost....

They show which part the note belongs to.

For example in Bar 12 the LH G# belongs to the 'alto' line not the 'tenor'.
Play it with your LH but voicing wise it fits between the RH E and D.
