Hi everyone
I'm thinking about attending the English Schools Orchestra course, and was just wondering if anyone had had anyone experience of it, or if they know someone who has been and knows what they thought of it?
I would be grateful if anyone could give me a few ideas?
Thanks

It looks very good from the website. My daughter is young for it right now but its something we might look into when she's the right age (and level).

Good luck with it!! Hope you enjoy it!

A friend of mine I gather has been atleast once, possibly a few times and has said it was really good and tried to convince me to go this year, though I doubt I'll be able to.

Actually it did, but it was a long way down the list. I see it gives an application form, but no details of closing date for applications. Is it too late for this year?

Oooh I've never heard of this before!

I might go if there's an opportunity when I am not stupidly busy!

My daughter has only just applied and has secured a place for this October.

It may still not be too late to apply!

I was a member for 2 years from 2006, it is a brilliant orchestra, very professional and excellently conducted. if you play a string instrument then you could probably still apply and get in, however if you play a wind or brass instrument places are limited (of course) and i wouldnt think you could get a place now. Applications are accepted from april so theres always next year! good luck!

My daughter has just returned from a 5 day course with this Orchestra with a final day concert at Cadogan Hall. She had a wonderful time. Staff and other members were exceptional. A very enjoyable experience!!

Glad she's had such a good time, pudding! I think the longer courses help children achieve so much more than you can get in a day.
