I am a post grade 8 pianist who would love to play with other instrumentalists - especially violin or cello. I am based in Cheshire and would love to hear from any other local instrumentalists of similar standard who might be interested in getting together. My musical tastes are varied (from Scarlatti to Buena Vista Social club), and I can manage a sight reading at about grade 5-6.

I would join you with my violin(grade 7/8) however I am located in northeast surrey during term time and london for a lot of the holidays.

Thats a shame, but hopefully I will find someone. I am also going to ask some of the local orchestras if any of their members are interested

Very good idea. My orchestra has just negotiated with the head of the school where we rehearse to base a chamber music club in its beautiful buttery (built c. 1860; smallish grand in situ).

Have you looked on the piano site? There was a good response to my similar thread there.
