Sadly, some of us didn't want to but had to come anyway. On a Saturday - I ask you.
Still, early morning checks done. Most things are wirring, beeping and flashing as they should. One is beeping and shouldn't be, but it's not a big deal. whistling.gif Nice cuppa morningcoffee.gif and forum browse now, wave.gif trip to deli for nice bread when I've finished. tongue.gif (nearest I could find to licking lips).

So not TOO bad after all.

I'm doing my accounts. ill.gif

I start back with clients on Monday and I don't feel rested/restored enough. sad.gif

Actually, I'm quite looking forward to getting back to normal after a mostly wet and windy holiday in North Devon and Somerset. Not as refreshed as I should be after two weeks away but ready for a new term. New autumn resolutions - practise the piano and theory everyday.

Thankfully all accounts done for this year - took absolutely ages! Thinking of you maggiemay - have a morningcoffee.gif to keep you going (I prefer tea but there is no teabag icon to use) biggrin.gif

I want to join the club!

It's Saturday, it's such a nice and sunny day and I'm stuck in the office. Grrrr!

thanks! the coffee was a good idea. Have done the worst of it now, and taking a break dead-heading in the garden...

I am definitely joining this group. Throughout the workday, I wish the piano were by my side...
I am going for a training on some technology next week... and I have to study for it tomorrow, which is a SUNDAY!!! mad.gif

I'm joining too.

I've only managed one week without any teaching this holiday and haven't been away anywhere (one day out) so am feeling seriously jaded and unready for the whole shenanigans to kick in again...

Id like to book a lesson for all my friends this october.
Hour lessons. please tongue.gif

Definitely joining. This week has come round far too quickly. I start high school teaching, 9 different classes from year 7 to year 12 plus a tutor group and not a single true parallel class as far as I can make out. However when I came across an NQT forum, there's obviously enough of us feeling somewhat panicked....
BerkshireMum
Don't think I can join either. After a 6 week break, I'm ready for all the challenges of the new term, and looking forward to meeting the new year 12s and finding out what my colleagues have been up to over the summer. Plus, I feel lucky to have a job I enjoy that pays a little better than most part-time work.

I sympathise with those feeling otherwise, though. It's been a rotten summer weatherwise, and the thought of another winter before we have the chance of some better weather is not appealing.

how many people actually feel "I like my job, it's the work I don't like" ??

As I said on the thread about liking one's work - I do, I do, I love it. Only there is just too much of at at the moment. Pre-term meetings today and if anything was designed to dampen one's enthusiasm, that was it!
Long list of "difficult"children and "un-cooperative" parents to beware of, half the stuff ordered not arrived and the computers set up at last but not working because the phone line had gone dead. And to cap it all a flood in the loo. I know I'll love it when I get there tomorrow afternoon - but at the moment I don't want to go!!!!! sad.gif

I'm going back to work tomorrow after 5 lovely days away from hardware... sad.gif Positively dreading it, but only 7 days left!
PianoSecrets-x
I've been working pretty much all summer, and I go back to school on Wednesday sad.gif I feel like I could sleep for a week!

I think for this week in particular, if you extend it to the 'we don't want to go to school' club, you might be inundated with members sad.gif

Other way round....I like the work I do, it's the other bits that turn it into a job I don't like.
