I am doing an essay on "the development of keyboard instruments and their music" so i am trying to write about the harpsichord, spinet, virignal and clavichord. Which order did these come first? or did they emerge about the same time? and can anyone tell me anything about them please?

i think harpsichord came last among virginal, spinnet and clavichord.... clavichord is quite similar to a harpsichord
