Remember to rank your nominees if you're voting for more than one person; 1 being the highest and 10 being the lowest, so I know how many points to give them. The person for whom you give 1st place to will get 10 points, regardless of how many other people you vote for. Remember you cannot vote for yourself.

I will not answer any PMs if I do not need to (as this just fills up the other person's inbox), but I will provide a list below on this post to say who has PMed me, so you know if your vote(s) have been counted.

I will publish periodic league tables in this thread to give everyone an idea who is winning and how close it may be at the top of the table.

Thank you for voting me as member of the year 2008. It's really flattering.

I think it's time to thank a few selected forumites, without whom I wouldn't have done half the things I've done on the forum, and would not have got anywhere near a member of the year shout.

In no particular order:

katyjay, andante_in_c, sbhoa and their respective families : without your help/guidance, I'd never have got any of my ideas/events etc. off the ground.

meerkat : I tried out my playday ideas at her Harborough events. Without Harborough, there'd be no Eccles, no York next year etc. We're coming back to Harborough next year, and I can't wait. Thank you meerkat
Meerkat, along with katyjay, encouraged me to sing again. I am eternally grateful!

noodle, Andy-piano-flute and family, CastlegoreAFB and her flute band : the three of you are largely responsible for the excellent time I had in Northern Ireland last month, and between the three of you, we have a good programme of things to do over there in 2009.
