I thought I'd started a thread on this... appears not!

Anyway, this thread is to discuss playdays and other events being held in York from 2009, organised by phantasmagoriana.

The good news is phantasmagoriana is making excellent progress on the venue front (thank you phantasmagoriana! ), and we're hoping to hold the first York playday in early 2009. Watch this thread for further info.

Me too! depending on when and where. What usually happens at these events? Are they whole day events or can you come along for a 1/2 day? Got kids so unsure if can make a full day event. Would be nice to meet a few people though.

The initial playday in York will probably be on the Harborough model.

Turn up with instrument, we all play music in an ensemble (with a break in the middle, I'll provide most/all of the music), then we go to an eaterie and socialise. Duration : about 3-4 hours (with a break).

Alas, I can only make it if it's on a weekday, when I'm teaching in York ...slim chance I fear!

Aah was assuming weekend. Prob no can do if weekday unless evening time....

I think it's most likely to be a Saturday afternoon, though some playdays have been Sundays.

There's an outside chance it'll be a Sunday afternoon, but it's more likely to be a Saturday afternoon
