Hello all,

I am looking for Recorder backings on CD to use with young beginner Recorder players. I have looked around, and I have heard of Recorder Boppers before, but no others.

Can anyone recommend anything? I'm not looking for something that goes along with a book or with reading notation, as I'm looking for materials for children that are very young (KS1). I'm just looking for CD's that encourage their aural and improvisational ability, as I'm not introducing them to notation yet.

Thanks! smile.gif

Hi, if you've got about £50 to spare have a look at the Froseth books - the teacher one comes with cds that can be used as general backing tracks, and the material is very good in the books as well.

Try the sarah Watts Red Hot recorder books. They are brilliant!

Yes I agree with Petrat; The Red Hot series have some really upbeat and interesting backing tracks. Although I've only used them with the book for notation - not sure how useful you'd find them for aural maybe you're looking for something more specific?

Glad to hear that. My son has just started using this book at school. smile.gif
