I need a piece (or two), about grade 7, and less than 8 minutes. I could play Meditation from Thais, but at least one other person probably will and also I will probably play it for my AS level - it's gorgeous, but I don't want to get sick of it! The only other thing I already play that I could do is Wieniawski Legende...but I think it's a bit too hard to pull off well really, and someone else will probably play that too! any ideas?

adoration by borowskei is good as well. Its on grade 7. I love it.

It's about 5 minutes long. Maybe do that and something like salut d'amour and you have 8 minutes of great pieces.

I second the Adoration suggestion. I played it for my AH recital, at prizegiving and will be playing it for forthcoming auditions, and think it showcases multiple skills.

depending on what sort of music you like maybe have a look at bartoks roumanian dances. You could pick 3 or 4 to make up the 8 mins.
