Chopin of the East
I'm currently studying the rach 3. I'm just about finished with learning the notes: does anyone have any advice on the technique required? I can play this piece fairly well, I think; in fact I will perform this piece January next year.

Anyone has any advice?

Well its way beyond me ! I think you should just listen to a few different recordings, then try to style your performance on the one you like. I personally think No 3 is his best one.
One of the most favoured at the moment seems to be Stephen Houghs, whose recordings of all of them last year were highly acclaimed.

I've never looked at the music for this. It's a monumental work though, and my favourite of his concertos. I don't have the Hough recording, though i do have many other recordings of his. Andsnes EMI disc is brilliant, and Lazar Berman on CBS was always one i liked. listening to other performances can only be enlightening, it's not about copying but absorbing what you hear. You must have worked very hard to learn this, and good luck with the performance.

I'm impressed. No 2 is difficult enough and No3 looks much tougher. I like Martha Argerich's recording the best.
