Peter 'Controller76' poses this question on the Musical Horses thread.
Its probably best as a separate thread, so 'Theyre off!' Who wants to start ?
skylark
Glissando - for my clarinet clarinet.gif

Ascending Motion - for my username (well I can't really call a horse skylark or Lark Ascending), combined with my piano (a variation of contrary motion) IPB Image

I think for me;

Busking.

I dream of being good enough to be able to busk and obviously the bus king.

Just as a foot note; I saw a Clarinettist busking on Bank underground station a few years ago, and I asked him if he could play the 5th movement; Fughetta by Finzi, well he played it straight away, and it was superb.

Cadenza, just because I like it, and I think it would suit a properly majestic horse! I might call the next instrument I happen to name Cadenza actually...

Well now you've got going, I guess mine would have to be 'Organism'

(PS Closing down shortly until Thursday)

My musical horses would be called Vocalise and La Follia.
Morgan's Munchkin

Deborah
Grane.

If you don't understand, listen to The Ring }:-o (or at least, read the libretto wink.gif)

Bit obvious, but I'd call it 'Presto'.
Maizie
Fipple.

Ooooh, ponders calling any new pets in the household after recorder parts. Fipple & Labium sound good, but people will just misunderstand the latter, I think...

Firebird

(would need to be an appropriate colour though).
AmandaL
Someone I know owns a horse named Toccata. I told her she now needed to get another, named Fugue. laugh.gif

Firebird

(would need to be an appropriate colour though).

Bright chestnut would be the best and chestnut horses can have a tendancy to be rather firey in temperament too, especially mares.

I like race-horse names that sound random and unusual so I'd have to have..

*imagine the commentator's voice*

Tune That String coming up the inside followed by Fugue in Gminor going well, tucked in behind is Page Turner, Change That Reed and Plectrum in the pink silks... *pause for breath* bringing up the rear is Don Giovanni, Cello Case and Watch Your Vibrato ...Ohhhhhhhh and Four Flats is a faller at the fifth!!!...

.. but The Trout is making headway on the rails with Baton giving us a twirl in the Duke's colours.. but it's Da Capo making a return entry to the front runners.... and Da Capo wins in the end!!!!!
