I really need to do more practice! Is anyone in London interested in playing duets or just practicing together? I'm about grade 5 on the violin. I've been stuck on grade 5 for the past 1.5 years and not progressing due to a lack of practice. I did join an orchestra and that was great, it was fun to play with other people but I've been so busy with work, I don't have time to go anymore. I need more practice with playing with others, it gets quite boring when you play by yourself and I end up not counting properly.

You don't have to play the violin, I'm interested in playing the any instrument, I'm sure we can sort some music out. Anyone interested?

Were you going to a week-day orchestra? If so have you looked at the East London Late Starters' Orchestra (strings only) which happens on Saturdays? Its Web site http://www.ellso.easynet.co.uk/ doesn't seem to be fully up to date, but I know it's still happening.

I hope you find a way to make music with other people that's just right for you.

She found me and we agreed at time and place to meet. She just needs to confirm the details closer to the time.

How about finding someone who plays piano to accompany you now and then in your pieces?

I don't play the flute as much any more because I got bored playing solo at home. The pieces only came alive with someone to accompany. That and I just prefer piano in general smile.gif
