I have been playing Buster Strikes Back - Morrison for a while now. Was just wondering if anyone knows where I can find a recording of it? My teacher would like me to listen to it just to neaten it up a bit more.
Thanks

I don't know myself, but I think if you post this on the forum of The Mouthpiece (www.themouthpiece.com) you will probably find someone who can help you. Or you could email 4 Bars Rest (www.4barsrest.com), the online brass band magazine.

It is on an Alan Morrison CD called Memorable Melodies but according to 4barsrest, it's not currently available but there may be other recordings out there.
It was written for Alan's nephew, who was fighting leukemia - apparently he is better now and can play the solo better than Alan!

Thanks for that... will look into it further!
Yes, my teacher told me the story behind it before I started playing it

I love that piece, though I haven't played it for about three years now! I wouldn't know where to get a recording; have you tried YouTube at all? You might be able to find a recording on there.

I have found one video on youtube... but there are a few mistakes in it!! Just wondered if anyone knew of a proper recording I could use! I have an audition for a local regional schools band in a couple of weeks so just enquiring about the recording.

If you like, I could ask my teacher if she has a spare 10 minutes and I could try and make a recording for you?
I think it's unlikely that I'd be able to; she never seems to have a spare moment, but I can play it well and would probably be able to play it without any mistakes.
I will do my best anyway, but sorry in advance if I can't

No, it's fine! Don't go to any bother about it! If my teacher was desparate to let me hear it he would give me his copy!!!! i know it pretty well by now anyway it was just to tighten it up a little.
Thanks everyone!
