I'm in really bad books with the guys at work (nothing new), the thing is I've been trying to cheat them out of a tax rebate I'm so philanthropic that I was quite happy to let the Chancellor have my share too .

Am I the only one who nothing about the new changes in tax codes? did I really sleep through it on the news?

They have a fatter pay packet this week so that should stop the supervisor moaning for 10 seconds on Thursday (he's not speaking to me and the silence is bliss).

I think you should have had a newsletter from HMRC. I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't though - at work we regularly get misdelivered mail for other companies in the area

Or if you elected to have info sent to you online, it may have gone in your junk folder and/or been deleted.

No letter from HMRC or Sage (payroll), they must know how badly the guys have been behaving

The first I knew about it was when I had a message on last month's payslip. The message also included a page on the HMRC website, and I will post a link to this page when I can find my last payslip.

The first I knew about it was my September pay slip - I actually got more money than I earn because of the rebate! So I don't think it can have been shouted about in the media.

A rebate is welcome whenever it arrives!
