Hi, obviously I do know this is the Associated Board website, but just wondered if anyone on here is doing the Trinity and Guildhall 2009-2011 piano grade 8 pieces and how you found them, which ones you were doing etc?

Thanks

I'm not doing it, but I have a syllabus.
I'd be thinking of one of the Bach pieces, Haydn Sonata, Mendelssohn Song without Words, and the Bartok Rondo. I know and play all these.

After I do my grade 7 (on the 20th) i'll be getting a trinity 2009-2011 grade 8 book, so if you could tell me what good pieces are available, It would do me good.

I was considering buying the CD for grade 8, so I can hear them all, i normally wouldn't do this, but i want my grade 8 to be special, as it is my last one. tongue.gif

I'm looking at the Bach P&F in F minor, the Mendelsohn, and the Street Tango for a grade 8 pupil of mine. I've not put anyone in for a Trinity exam before, so I'm a little concerned about the scales and exercises!
