It's supposed to be exactly the same i.e. grade 4 but I think Trinity is slightly easier. Having said that, "Elegiac Blues" was on both lists for piano grade 7 recently.

I would say thay abrsm is definitely harder than Trinity. I did Grades intial, one and two on Trinity and then jumped to 5 on ABRSM! I prefer ABRSM though........

why change to abrsm?
trinty has a better selection of pieces, more logical aural tests and sensible scale groupings so you dont waste 30 mintues a day practicing every major and minor scale for grade 8.
trinity rocks!

hey, i do take associated board exams aswell you know, but i think people are too quick to dismiss trinty.
perhaps "trinty rocks" was a bit strong, i take it back. i just tend to have better exam experiences with trinty. may be due to the better venue
both boards have their good and bad points.

Fair enough!
What are the differences then? I heard you don't have to theory for trinity which sounds a bit weird, or am i dreaming?
