I think Guildhall is good as the marking is fairer and is broken down into sections within each element.
They also do jazz exams up to Grade 8.

I think that if you are not sure you get the syllabus from each board and see which suits you the best.
Mostly I think it is a question of what they ask apart from set pieces.
I think that Guildhall have examiners who play your instrument but not so many centres.

I think that doing the poll in the ABRSM's forum is likely to produce a rather biased result!

But is that necessarily a good thing?
And yes, I think that a poll on an AB forum is likely to be- just slightly
- biased!

How do you mean best? Do you mean easiest? fastest to get results? Fairer marking? I play violin and piano and do ABRSM exams on them and sax and im doin Trinity exam on that. But ive never done a Trinity exam, ive done 8 ABRSM ones though!

I can't comment on TCL or LCM (even though TCL are now merged with guildhall I think), but ABRSM certainly seems better organised than Guildhall

Do you have a URL for the jazz exams by any chance?
I went to the Guildhall web page and it says they've amalgamated with Trinity. I went to the Trinity web site and all I could see were classical and pop syllabuses.
Thanks.

I like trinity because the examiners actually play the instrument they examine for and because you get the results the same day! But I prefer the ABRSM pieces most of the time!
