Great! Look forward to seeing you and everyone else. (I'm now feeling vaguely guilty that I'm still in my dressing gown. unsure.gif ) tongue.gif

Ooh, is that what you're wearing today? In that case i shall come in my PJs so we can be nicely co-ordinated for our duet.

Have a great day everyone!! biggrin.gif

As the first one to report back in (unusually early, regretably sad.gif), many thanks to katyjay and AmandaL for organising a fantastic event biggrin.gif I really like the venue and it was great to meet all the new and familiar faces. I'm really really sorry I had to miss the second half and rush off without filling in the feedback forms. (I'll be PMing...) Well done everybody. smile.gif My highlight of the first half was Amber's unaccompanied solo wub.gif

Looking forward to the next one already! (I'll make sure to keep all my Saturdays free around this time next year tongue.gif)

Thank you Katyjay and AmandaL for organising the fifth successful Chertsey/Egham/Teddington Forums concert. It was good to meet up with friends old and new, hear how old hands are progressing and welcome those who were performing for the first time. The first time is always the most nerve-racking - honest! Thanks for the accompaniment, Panthera. It's a pity you were not able to stay on to the second half.

I will post the Light Beat's pictures once he has editied them.

I'm back too. Much tireder than usual, which I expect is down to the accompanying I did this year.

It was a fantastic day. Many thanks to AmandaL and katyjay for all their hard work, and thanks to everyone for being such a support to my very nervous adult pupil who took part. smile.gif

It was great to put faces to several new Forumites, and a real pleasure to hear you play.

It's now full steam ahead to Anglesey for me. biggrin.gif
katyjay
Sbhoa and I are back too. Thanks to everyone who took part and made it such a great day biggrin.gif

Thanks for all the lovely comments too in my feedback envelope biggrin.gif

Finally made it to a katyjay/AmandaL event! (even if I didn't sing...)

A lovely day, thanks must go to the performers, who played/sung beautifully and katyjay and AmandaL for all their hard work organising.

Hopefully I'll be able to sing at the next one (oh, and I said within earshot of katyjay that I might be persuaded to play the piano in accompanist mode next time round ohmy.gif ).

And now, as you said andante, full steam ahead to Anglesey (though I'm diverting via York laugh.gif )

Just got home after another concert!! Thankfully I wasn't playing in this one.

What a fantastic day! Thanks to AmandaL and KatyJ for organising such a wonderful event - it was great to meet so many other adult learners.

Thanks Barry for involving me in the clarinet quartet and to sbhoa for accompanying me. I need to get practising now for next year!

It's always such a pleasure to hear people play who I haven't heard for some time, and to see just how much further on they have travelled in their musical journeys.

I enjoyed meeting familiar faces again, and also to meet new faces.

Hi everybody

Thank you katyjay and AmandaL for arranging such a great day and thanks for everybody else for making it so. I enjoyed meeting new people and seeing familiar faces from last time. I'm sorry that I couldn't stay and had to rush off afterwards but I was due to play in an orchestral rehearsal in Tunbridge Wells in the evening. Thank you katyjay for picking us up from the station and for misterjay for taking me back to the station (though I almost left my violin in his boot!). Thanks also to Barry who met me at Waterloo. I wasn't able to wait for my envelope but hopefully katyjay can mail it to me. I was able to put my comments in as I was writing them as each person performed. A lovely concert, very varied and well done everyone. Will wait to see Lightbeat's photos now - and also thanks to him for taking them.
Miss Ross
Glad it went well!

What a good day - thanks to Amandal and KatyJay for the organisation! Really nice to see everyone again and also a very nice meal afterwards.

Jouney back remarkably easy - got up quite late and went into central London with a few hours to kill so went to see "Revolutionary Road" in Leicester Square. Quiet an heavy film to put it mildly - a long way from Titanic! More like the play "Who's afraid of Virginia Wolf". Back home by 7 in the evening!

Thanks again to the organisers.

smile.gif Hello Everyone!

Many many thank you to all, yes especially, Amanda and Katyjay for organizing such a great day!

I really really enjoyed to meet new people and make friends! it was fantastic.
Thank you very much for having me and for all warm & nice comments in envelope.
I am also sorry I had to leave for friend's party in Guilford afterwards, so could not fill in any feedback form.
however I have to say I liked all music that I heard in first half - because we all made great effort to share nice time and could feel how we are enjoying!!
Katyjay's warm comment between players - It made us away from nervous. I really appreciate it!

I miss all especially after I have seen "everobody's picture" I am not in the last picture which everybody is in......
Well, I really hope to see you soon, as group, as individually.
And I promiss to back next time of course and would like to participate duo, trio, quartet whatever I can!

Big thank you again to all!

I've been home just over an hour now. Had a clarinet lesson on my way home (no, not on the train as someone was picturing).
Had a lovely weekend. Thanks to AmandaL and Katyjay for organising again and to Kayjay and Mr Jay for their hospitality.
Was good to meet with friends old and new and to have an wonderful day making music. Thanks to Suepea for allowing me to experience playing the Lefevre with cello and to the other members of the impromptu clarinet quartet which was fun to do.

I really enjoyed my first Adult Learners' Concert. It was such a pleasure to meet everyone and to listen to so much lovely music with the beautiful backdrop of Bushy Park beyond the bay window. Quite a contrast to my normal Saturday afternoons. Thanks to everyone for the wonderful surprise of the envelope full of nice comments, all most encouraging. Next time I'm sure I'll feel more relaxed and confident! By the way, how do you view the photos?

The photos should come up automatically. I don't know what you do if they don't - perhaps someone more computer expert than me would know. Send me a PM if you still can't get them up, Klavierkat, and I'll try to get them to you another way.

I'm another one who was very sorry to have to miss the concert because it clashed with a very longstanding other commitment, and I enjoyed looking at the pictures. It was interesting to see familiar people playing unexpected instruments - I think the Forums should come with a bank balance warning as they obviously encourage a spirit of musical adventure!
