Ref my previous post (which flute) the Thomann FL-200 flute appears to be very good value as described, and with a 3 year guarantee. I can't find any opinions or reviews of it though. Has anyone any knowledge of it ? Is it a clone ? Thomann are a well established and well regarded organisation.
Thank you for helpful responses to my previous posting.

I have never heard of this make so cant comment on reliability and sound etc. But reading the spec I wpersonally would avoid as it has a nickel silver as I react to the nickel blink.gif plus it is a student flute and probably need upgrading pretty quickly. Question do you already play an instrument? If so you are likely to pick the instrument up more quickly and may be fruustrated by the lower end instruments think you may be as well going with andante in c advice and looking at azumi or maybe yamahas for proven reliability. plus you can just up grade head as the mechanism for the upgrade flute is the same on the 211 (student) as 311 (upgrade with silver head).

Thomann also market the FL-300R which is an open hole flute with a sterling silver head joint, french pointed keys etc.
