hi

just wondering if anyone could help, as i'm struggling to find info for programme notes for my saxophone dip...
im playing:

fantaisie impromptu by jolivet
Binge's sax concerto
3 etudes by koechlin
Telemann sonate (originally for oboe)

ive got stuff about the composers, their influences etccc.. just can't find anything about the actual pieces - why they were written etc. Sleeve notes havent proved to be very insightful...

Any advise would be gratefully received!

PM Scaramouche, she may have some ideas since she passed Dip (including the Binge) this year.

Does the book "150 years of music for Saxophone" have any material?

Someone has got there first. Scaramouche wrote some excellent notes on the Binge and the Telemann, and although it would be wrong to Plagarise, she will know what materials she used.

Good luck.
