My tutor has asked me to accompany one of his students in her exam.

I'm using the black book ("Stage and Screen") version of the song. Is the whole piece played as written for the exam, or do you miss out the repeats for the second verse? I've been playing it in full when practising. My tutor has now gone away so I can't ask him.

Thanks smile.gif

Yes...I do....

Sorry to confuse you, but I have a different opinion. We do it exactly as written. The verses have different words, and the syllabus does not ask you to omit one. So it goes chorus-verse-chorus-verse-verse-chorus. (Only my opinion.) Why don't you ask the student how they have been practicing it?

I do the same as AnnC

As it is verse-chorus do the whole thing as Ann C and others have said.

Thanks Ann (and others!) I spoke with the student today and she confirmed we sing/play the whole thing. smile.gif
