I went out for a run this morning. The snow had stopped and it had turned to rain. Not ideal, but someone told me that one of the ways of getting rid of a cold is to do lots of exercise then sit in a hot bath. And, as I've mentioned on another thread, I've got a cold/sore throat at the mo which is the last thing I want with my singing exam coming up in a week's time.
So, off I set. As I was walking up the hill I noticed an odd but pleasant floral type of fragrance. I knew I recognised it, but couldn't place it. "Oh well" I thought, "It's quite nice to have around but goodness knows where it's coming from".
Anyway, got to the top of the hill and started running. Feeling very stoical running in the pouring rain and imagining that the people in the cars going past must think I'm either a) Very Serious About My Running, or b) Completely Bonkers. About half an hour into the run I casually glance down at my legs which are by now sodden in my tracky bottoms, only to find that my knees are covered in masses of white bubbly foam! What on earth........................??????
Then it dawned on me that for the past couple of weeks I've been using the Economy Wash on my washing machine in an attempt to cut down on fuel bills. It's obviously USELESS at rinsing the clothes!
So by the time I returned home for my hot bath I'd already washed and soaped myself!
