Somebody asked me whether the simple type of pedal extender available in Japan can be bought overseas. Anybody know?
This is not the big boxy type of pedal used for very small children - it's basically a pedal lengthener for kids who are NEARLY tall enough to manage pedals. It clamps onto the pedal to add extra length, though you can add a footstool to support the feet as well. You can also get a different device that will raise the height of the pedal extension too.

The only one I know about is the A-Leg-Gro-Ped available in England. They might also ship abroad. The website is www.a-leg-gro-ped.co.uk. I use it most as an adjustable foot-stool but it is well regarded as a device to enable children to use the pedals.

Thank you! The A-leg-gro looks like the basic all-in-one type, rather than the simple length-extensions. FOr home use, I imagine the all-in-one type is easier to use.
The question arose after somebody saw the simple type used in a piano competition, and thought how much more portable they would be.
