Never met Paul Harris, but James Rae is a very pleasant man, more than willing to talk about all things clari

If your daughter can make it, I think she'd enjoy it.

Oh, I'm sure there are other places you can find to loiter on Oxford St...
It sounds like fun, but Saturdays for me are usually music packed in any case so I'll have to give it a miss.

I have the day off work that day so am thinking about it. Think it might be a bit too expensive for me though - can't really afford £25 as well as about another £25 train fare to get there

The trade stands look fun, but are at a bad time - on top of HMRC demanding all my money, the car recently failed its MOT as well

Cinerama (as performed in Reigate on 4th January </plug>)? I'm sure I've sung Beethoven 9 under Richard Dickins as well.

Sure - trains/buses permitting, I should be there by about half past nine.

Oh it's sad that i only just noticed this thread, i wouldn't have been able to go anyway, i'm seeing my friend play her cello in a competition and back home. Do tell me how it goes won't you all?!

Just over a week to go and now I have friday, saturday, sunday and monday off work with my next clarinet lesson on Tuesday morning.
I will be practicing all weekend and all week.
I am so looking forward to our day and knowing me I'll get there sooooo early... I'll probably be on my 2nd coffee when everyone starts to turn up.

It's in 6 days

I should be there by about 9:15-9:30ish.
Looking at the TfL website, the only engineering on the tube that may affect people coming in is the lack of Jubilee line between Green Park and Stratford.
Is everyone ready? With a credit card with plenty of credit on it for the stalls?

Seems like I'm the first one back - it was a brilliant day, with excellent conductors and a really varied selection of music. For me the venue is SO easy to get to, which is an added bonus. I can't wait for the next one now!

Apart from Jo and I, Halka and daughter, Deborah, smd and controller76 were all there. Didn't spot pianocelloflute or taxidriver - did you both come?
It was a great day, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Hopefully the ELCC will do another one next January

I was there! It was brilliant to play with so many other people, haven't done that for years.
We made it into a day- went to the Philharmonia concert at RFH in the evening- was great too.

Yes I was there - it was such fun, although I could barely speak by the end of the day, my lips were worn out!!! Some of the music was too difficult for me - but I enjoyed playing the bits I could. I sat just in front of the saxaphones. Wasn't the bass sax wonderful! This is the first time I have done anything like this and so look forward to another one.
