you'll be fine!!!!
just be patient. my ucas form went off about two weeks ago and i haven't heard anything (except I got yet another form from cambridge - how many do they need?!?!).
on the other hand, my friend (a saxophonist wanting to read ecology) sent hers off about three weeks ago and has already got:
a BBC offer from nottingham
an interview at lancaster
an interview at southampton
so she's pleased! and i'm telling anyone who will listen, lol, because i'm so proud of her.

I'm sure you'll be absolutely fine Natalie!
Cheeble- I can't believe you've got ANOTHER form from Cambridge! This is getting ridiculous! Does that make three now? How much can you still have to tell them that you can't put on one form?
I hate forms. But luckily I still have 3 years before I have to worry about my UCAS applications!

I don't know about that, maybe you should start filling in those forms now, perhaps you'll have finished them in three years' time
!
Don't worry Natalie, everyone always makes out that it's a lot harder to get into university than it really is: you'll be fine.

Hmm... good idea, AnotherPianist- though I doubt I'd ever finish them even then! I'm really bad at filling in forms!
I forgot to say, well done to your friend Cheeble!

i don't know why Cambridge want so many forms... I expect I'll have to fill in about 20 more, then have interviews and auditions etc and I probably still won't get in!
oh well.

Are they all from the University or are they from colleges? Admissions always used to be done by the colleges and I haven't heard that that has changed. In the fifties, colleges clumped together in twos to sixes to run scholarship examinations. I don't know about ordinary entry, but it might well be similar.

Hi Cheeble.
Are you applying to study music at Cambridge? Because I applied for music at Cambridge last year and got an offer (will be starting study next year in 2005, as I have deferred for a year), so I have experience of the interview etc if it would be useful to you?!

I'm considering applying to Oxford or Cambridge (though not to do music! ~ I wouldn't have ahope!!) but I can't make up my mind whether to go for Chemistry or Modern Languages, I think it comes down to how well I do in a-level maths (though I'm doing the IB, not A-levels~ long story!) Anyway, my point is, any experience you guys have to share with us about getting in, interviews and that would be appreciated!
Oh, and cheebie, I can recommend York if Cambridge doesn't work out,~ my sisters doing archaeolog there, and its a loely city. Just, avoid the LARP society~ seriously strange people (my sisters one of them!)
And finally, good luck Natalie, I'm sure you'll get a place no problems!

Well for those of you who go to Cambridge, I am in Cambridge for some of December and January, most of april, and all of july-september, each year - so anyone who wants to be shown around feel free to ask!

Not so fond of York myself. I almost went there once. Great lake in the middle of the campus though - superb for sunbathing, as I learnt!

Nat,
You'll be fine. I understand how you feel because I'm going for audition next year and worry that I'm screw up everything.
Good Luck

Or for falling in after student parties as I believe one of my sisters friends discovered. And apparently the ducks are really noisy too!
