Too busy looking for the Hilton!!

I can recommend this day we went last year and will certainly consider it again. For those of you have not been before I'd say it's aimed at grade 4ish and above. There's plenty of playing too.

Edit: I've just seen the info says Grade 5+

Having been to all the previous Nottingham saxdays, I HIGHLY recommend them! But as said, they do tend to book up fast, so don't leave it too late!!

The Northern Saxophone Quartet (Alistair Parnell, Julia Mills, Tony Davis, Sarah Markham) will be the tutors for the day, and also an excellent saxophone teacher based around Nottingham.

There's loads of playing to be done in allocated groups, a couple of mass blows, masterclasses where you can pick up excellent tips and advice, or even participate if you're feeling brave (I did last year, but Richard Ingham was very nice so i'm glad I did). The tutors also play as part of the evening concert, and it's worth going for that alone!

Windblowers (Nottinghams specialist Woodwind and brass shop) also have lots to look at, try out and buy, and many a person has gone away clutching goodies, or dreading an impending divorce if they've gone mad and bought another sax!

As a member of Equinox (Directed by Alistair, and based in Nottingham) I'll definatel be there again, (it's my mothers day present every year!).

Look forward to seeing some of you there.

Bari at these events, but otherwise alto. Used to play quite a bit at Nottingham University (Qtet, Big Band), but I'm Leicester-based. My face features on my profile!

Looking forward to the event...

best
