I have an audition this month for my music course in uni and they have asked that i play two contrasting pieces, so i thought i would play some mozart and bach. I was wondering if these 2 composers contrasted enough :S Any help anyone?
Thanks

I'm sure they're great pieces and you will play well but I think you might wow them a little more if one of your choices was 20th century.
Do you have something up your sleeve from the C section of your last exam?
Ultimately, play what you do best but it always looks good if you can exhibit some versatility of repertoire/style.
Best of luck.

Mozart and Bach may or may not be contrasting pieces... it depends on the pieces more or as much as the composers I think.

I did think of using the C piece from my exam but it's not a piece that in my opinion i play as well as i play others.
The pieces are the Bach Prelude and Fugue in A flat and Mozart sonata in F major from the 07-08 grade 8 syllabus.

You should be OK with those as one is baroque and the other classical, but I think it would be better if one was romantic or modern (with either the Bach or Mozart)
