I play in a mixed-ability adult orchestra near Reading (Berkshire UK). It doesn't give formal concerts but does have an informal play-through each term of the music we have been working on. Our only regular timpanist/percussionist has moved on so we are hoping to find another one. We have an enthusiastic young conductor and play mainstream repertoire (this term Beethoven Symphony 5 and the two suites of music from Bizet's Carmen).
