Hi,
Can anyone tell me of any other places to find sheet music that is less well known please? I would like to get a copy of the solo sheet music for Nickolai Kapustin's Motive Force. Sophie Cashell, who won the BBC musician competition recently plays it on her album, Debut. Also I would love to play Milonga del Angel by Piazzolla which Angela Hewitt plays on her album Dances. I've tried Musicroom and Boosey & Hawkes but am wondering if these pieces are maybe not published for general use. Would appreciate any help. Thanks.

Thank you all for your help. I don't think the Piazzolla piece is the same one. I found out that Milonga del Angel is only published in japanese available via amazon. As I don't read, write or type in japanese, I'll have to wait until it becomes available more generally - boo. It's the same pretty much with the Kapustin Motive Force op.45, but Chappell do have piano albums 1 & 2 of Kapustin's pieces so may eventually add the third which contains the Motive Force I guess.
It seems a shame that some pieces remain inaccessible. I noticed when listing to some of the performances on Radio 3's Pianothon that some of the student's were playing pieces by composers that were not generally published. In particular a lovely intermezzo by Terje Bjorkland and a great piece by Richard Rodney Bennett - Tempo di Hard Rock. I think some of the performers must have been conservatoire students judging by the standard and I presume, have special access to more obscure pieces. But still, will keep on the case. Thanks again for your suggestions.

I'm not sure if this site includes modern music, but there's over 10,000 composer and many more pieces all for free and do not require you to sign up for anything.
