I PASSED GRADE 8 VIOLIN WITH MERIT!!!!!!!

sorry... not many of my friends actually know what that means, and i wanted to share! laugh.gif

i got 122:

beethoven: 25
grieg: 27
monti czardas: 25

i know i got 16 and 18 for scales and sight reading, but i cant remember which way round...

and 12 for aural huh.gif not so good! but it was really hard so i wasn't expecting the best!

ANYWAY, i'm now going to run into my garden and continue doing cartwheels!! party2.gif

At the moment I'm aiming for Grade 4 in March but seeing as I haven't played for a month (illness) I might even have to postpone that sad.gif

Clever musical_K !!! biggrin.gif I wish I could listen to you play the violin! I find the violin a really fascinating instrument.

So how many cartwheels have you done? When I got my previous results, I was grinning from ear to ear. I can't imagine what I'll do when I pass Grade 8 piano in a couple of years! smile.gif

I was dead pleased that I got 98% in my grade 2 theory this last summer and got through the viola prep test OK as I proved to myself I could prepare for and do a music exam. smile.gif

WEll done you high-flying grade 8-er and look forward to knowing your result too, ffliwt! One day, I too will reach your dizzying heights!! Might even take Grade 1 viola and grade 3 and/4 theory this coming year. Watch this space....(kinda!) tongue.gif
