Has anyone on here ever played the above piece, my Bamp has asked me to learn it and i just dunt seem to be getting anywhere with it. Has anyone got any tips on playing it?

It's very hard. I learnt it when I was a teenager (along with many things boogie-woogie) when I was about grade 8 level and it still took me about 2-3 months to get it to a half-decent standard. That was twenty years ago, and I haven't returned to it since ... must get it out sometime.

How long have you got to pull it together? And have you played in this style before? It's a bit of a baptism by fire if this is your first piece in this style.

No tips other than the usual standard practice techniques - small sections taken slowly and accurately, and gradually up the tempo.

You'll find you can't practise it at tempo for long - it really tests the stamina.

I've got about 4-5 months. I've played a few others in this style but none as challenging as this.
Good job i like a challenge i suppose.
