This forum takes me back to the early 60s when I worked at Jazshows jazz club in London, also known as the 100 club. It was in the basement of 100 Oxford St. in central London.
I must point out at this stage that I was not a player. I was just a young lad who loved jazz, and to get in free, I cleaned up all the rubbish that was left behind after the sessions.
There was no alcohol served in the club in those days, and in the interval everybody left via the rear of the club and headed for the Blue Post Pub just around the corner at the back of the alleyway .
A quick pint and we where back for the final session.
Brilliant music and great fun.
Anybody else been there?
Happy days
