Am I imagining it or does verse 3 of 'Sacramento' make no sense? Both in Sing Together and Singing Time verse 3 has "To the Sacramento's a very long way". My theory is that a typesetter somewhere saw that the verse starts with "To the" and used it again a bit later on.
I googled the lyrics and, of course, there are many potential verses so I think I'll just change it anyway!

I read this as meaning it is a long way to the Sacramento ( river ). Since the previous verse in the version I found on line talks about Cape Horn, it makes sense to me.
