If you are in the Taunton area- South West region and are a flute player ! please message me if you woud be interested in playing in a group- there seems to nothing available apart from Minehead or Bath which are a little far to go in an evening. OR..if you know of a flute choir in this area please let me know any details. Thanks:-)

I'm intrigued??!! :-) Have you a cunning plan??

Just talking to 'my wonderful ' teacher (always has to prefixed with 'my wonderful')- cos he's fab! and we were discussing that there wasn't much in the South West...there are 2 flute choirs - Minehead and Bath.

I will await your PM. :-)

I think it's a great idea! I would love to join when I am good enough if you do set one up.

smile.gif I am local to Taunton too, and would love to know how you are getting on with finding a group? I know of a recorder group locally, but not a flute choir, apart from any within schools. Can you contact me through the forum, as I'm new to it and don't really understand how it works! Thanks!

I'm very keen to join a group now, as I feel happier I won't feel completely out of my depth! I looked at the Bath group, but it's for Grade 7 + and the Chippenham one isn't running any more. Have you made any progress Flute diva on starting a group?

I'm a little far away (Gloucestershire) but please let me know if you manage to get set up in case I could find a lift with someone similarly mad enough to try and make it down.

I miss having chances to play with fellow flautists sad.gif

Just a thought, but if enough flutey people make it to the Milverton playday later this year, perhaps people can exchange details and meet on a more regular basis?... smile.gif
sarah-flute
Which one is the Milverton one, Barry? Is that the one near Taunton? I am behind in catching up with these things *wry grin*
