One problem is that if there was something near everybody it's unlikely that there would be enough people to make the event viable.
Some of the more established events are reasonably accessible using public transport and a number of people do travel around the country when they are able. Booking ahead on trains and taking advantage of Advance fares can help.

Indeed, some of us even travel to other countries. smile.gif Of course, it's not viable for everyone and I can't do it very often, but you'd be surprised at the lengths some people will go to to. smile.gif

Aye, but when I'm not in the depths of the mangle-munching forest of G major, I'm in the Birmingham area and was...a little surprised to find that my nearest event is Leicester huh.gif

So therefore, we must conclude that the mangle-munching forest of G major must either be somewhere just off the M5, or somewhere near the M6 toll road laugh.gif
