The much acclaimed "pianist" magazine is now (as promised by them) up on the internet. You can also listen to a few of the clips that the pieces in the said magazine have to offer. Try track 3 - one of Greg’s Lyrical pieces, such pleasure you know. These pieces should be in Issue 21, since they’re not in the current one which is issue 20.

The only problem that I've found with this magazine (and my students to a large degree) is that although they are "Bi-monthly" issues, the music contained within them can take much longer than this to learn. So what you have then is a pile of magazines with more music than time. Well, better than the antithesis I guess, and ONE intermediate/advanced piece per issue will add to a formidable repertoire.

More can be read about this magazine at "music-corner" forums here: Music Corner and the Pianist-related thread here Pianist Magazine

I'd never heard of it before, but it looks like a great magazine. Those of you who subscribe to it, do you think its worth the price?

I should add that I'm in the US and its more expensive here than in the UK.

I have recently found out about this magazine, and the contents described on the website seem pretty interesting and delicious... tongue.gif

And, I did manage to get hold of edition number 20, cost $19.60 (Singapore dollars). Though the articles are rather useful & informative to a certain extent, I still think the price is a bit too steep for this magazine.

I am keen to purchase the back issues, but hope so much that the price can be lower biggrin.gif .... well, just hoping wink.gif
