Inspired by playing at his teacher's Monday evening concert, my youngest (8) announced after school yesterday:

"Mummy, I'm going to write my own music book - if I'm going to teach the trumpet, I'm going to need some tunes!"

With only a little help from yours truly, he has worked out how to play Happy Birthday, and written it down in his new manuscript book.

Anyone hesitating about organising a students' concert - just do it - you don't know where it will lead!

.... and how fantastic that must feel for you! Brilliant! I'm really pleased for you.

I'm organising a student concert myself, so this has really inspired me. biggrin.gif

That's lovely to hear!

One of the nicest comments I've had after a students' concert was when one of my youngest students said at her next lesson: "When I grow up, I want to be like ****" (She was talking about a teenager who was about Grade 5 at the time. ) smile.gif
