I'm with Mad Tom on this. I suspect you're bound to end up with a "Yes" vote, because people who vote without knowing what it's about are more extrovert and optimistic!

Another Aries here who says yes.
However if you find that you flip the coin more than once to get the right answer, then that is a fair indication of what you really want to do.
Mind you, if you were wondering whether you should boil the budgie and run away with the milkman I should say a definite no!

Weeeelllll, yes it's something like that...
I
genuinely can't decide!
I've got the chance of buying one of Yitamusic's T20 violins which are the top of their range and I believe used by some professionals. I could buy it for about half the price they normally cost.
Thing is.... I've already got a violin and don't really need another one... and I can only raise the money from my savings for next year's Uni fees.. which I might be able to replace in time so it's not the end of the world.
And it might be nicer than the one I've got, Martha is considered quite 'big'. And it's the opportunity of a real bargain??
My teacher and OH say no.... HEEELLLLLPPPPPP!!!

Given the facts, I would now say no - sorry, probably not what you want to hear. Will it seem like such a bargain next year when you are struggling to pay Uni fees?

Seriously though...I'd have to agree with SueHM. It might sound very tempting right now but you do not have the money (the one you have is for uni and you have an instrument to play. Not the one you wish you had but nethertheless one that enables you to play at the moment. I'd wait until the time was right...there will be other opportunities in the future...

Save your money for your course fees and the new art studio Lottie, and don't breathe a word of your thoughts of infidelity to poor Martha or she will never play well for you again, and she will lie crying in her case.

I put 'no' as I have an inkling as to what it is you're deliberating over (without reading the whole thread) and it's no good getting others to make a decision you know is impractical for you!!!

Forget it for now and enjoy what you have. You can have a really nice instrument later on when you can afford it and it won't make you feel bad. Then you won't find yourself in a bad dilemma as money and so on won't be an issue. Be sensible, I doubt quite severely that you'll regret it.

Being rash and buying the violin when you know you don't need and can't afford it (can you be SURE you can replace the funds? It's a very dicky economic climate right now!), well, that I think you will regret.

PS Star signs are a cop-out! Personal traits etc are determined at the moment of conception, not birth - (science bit!!), so stuff that for an excuse!!!

Take responsibility and remember, lots of people vote 'yes' because it won't impact on them one little bit! You, on the other hand, have to take the rap if the decision is wrong.

NOOOOOOOO! Hamish is outraged at the idea.
Seriously, they T20 is not going to be better than a handmade instrument. They're great - way better than the stentors, the gligas etc - but they're still factory made. With an expensive set up, you'll get something useable as a second violin by a pro - but that will add extra cost and you'll still probably play Martha more.
You love Martha - stick with her.

YES!!! You're all right!!!
And I knew all that in the first place but a sweep of doubt clouded the air!

Never... Martha, come back to me darling, unpack your spotted hanky and stay... you're my love, my one and only and always will be...
