Me and my teacher have chosen my pieces for the exam in March.

We've gone for Wanderlust, Song for my Father and Ek Se.

So I've got about a month to hone those to perfection (and sort out the improvisation bits - but that's another thread!!!) biggrin.gif

PS. I didn't know whether to post this here or in the Sudents forum - I don't suppose it matters though.

The best piece of advice I can give you is to listen to as many versions of the pieces you can get your hands on to help to get the stye right. Horace Silver's "Song for My Father" on the recording of the same name is a must listen. I can't immediately think of a source for Ek Se - listening to South African township music in general would help with this one too. You should be able to find a Duke Ellington version of Wanderlust.

I find iTunes and eMusic are really good sources for getting hold of a number of versions of tunes I'm working on (and it's something I always do). I must try the Amazon mp3 store as well.

Thanks Tsax - I'll have a look around
