I have just got home from the hairdressers, and gone "eeeek". I have had my bob of 3 1/2 years cut short and funky, with wax stuff in it. Oh heck, did I do the right thing?? Does anyone else do this after a new hair do?? Bev.

I always had really long dark hair, and one day about three years ago, I decided to just go to the hairdresser's and get it all cut boy short. I hated it so I just grew it back out again and now it's halfway down my back which is good! Sorry I'm probably not being very comforting but if your do is 'funky', then I'm sure it looks good

Got the T-shirt.
Worst incident was when I went for a free hair-cut as a student - trainee hairdressers doing the job. It took 6 months for me to feel normal again. I wore a lot of hats that Winter....
Had a bob chopped off a few years ago and did the wax thing - got used to it in a few days and ended up really liking it. Don't worry - it will grow on you (argh, just realised what a terrible pun that is!!!)

Aw, Bev - I'd imagine it would really suit you! I remember when my mum went really short and funky for a while; she looked amazing!
(I'm not comparing you to my mother, incidentally, although she is very nice. *stops digging hole*)

I'm sure it's lovely, though the great thing about hair is that it gives you another chance, and in this weather hat-wearing while you wait doesn't look odd.
(I did wonder, on reading the thread title, who Bob was and where he had gone )

I've got the just-past-an-inch-or-so-longer-than-a-bob at the moment and I keep toying with the short and funky waxy type experience - at the moment I keep tucking my bob-y-type stuff behind my ears and looking like a spoon.
Short and funky is so much easier to keep!

Oh you have made me smile today.
Just reading the word Bob brought to mind an image of Rowan Atkinson, looking down a TV camera with a bemused, raised eyebrowed expression, saying, .....after a pregnant pause..... "Bob"
Brilliant comedian!

Just wait till the tenor gets back to his original place, then call another bob to home.
I bet andante in C is the only person to get that.

It's cause he's a stutterer, isn't it? So he really had to over-enunciate. Made it so much funnier. I love Blackadder.

My goodness, I read the post title, assumed Bob was a person and feared the worst!!
I had my hair cut off two days ago. I feel like a new woman.

When I wrote "Bob", I had Rowan in my mind. He just creases me up every time..............Blackadder, " You wouldn't say Bob was a girl then??"
Everyone has said it suits me, but they said that when I had the bob in the first place

I'll refer the "MLz needs a haircut" brigade to you next time they all kick off.
I don't enjoy having it cut at all. I'll leave it for now.
