Is it real????
I'm torn between equal part fascination, equal part horror....

Horror, definitely horror.
Almost as disturbing as the baby in a business suit chairing a meeting about loo paper.

I feel really out of this discussion - I haven't seen the advert, but now of course I'm desperate to!

Thanks DC!

That is seriously weird! If that's what Cadbury's chocolate does to your kids...

Surreal.
How do they expect this to sell more chocolate?

Maybe the idea is you need to eat chocolate to comfort yourself afterwards. I must admit quite like it, especailly the music and as you've said it it certainly memorable.

I find myself wondering how they went about finding those 2 kids to do the advert - or are they some advertising bloke's kid brother and sister?!
Never thought I'd find myself watching eyebrow videos on Youtube...possibly THE ultimate waste of time!

I just didn't understand the relevance of it at all! It was memorable, though.

I've just seen it for the first time - strangely compelling! My son loves it, but we both preferred the drum-playing gorilla

yeah it's weird.
Who thinks up this stuff? Who honestly thought they had a great idea when they proposed this to their boss at Cadburys :s

Agree on the gorilla.
The girl looks like someone we know when she was younger
We've had the discussion about whether this is real or computer generated. I'm not sure that it's instantly recognisable as selling chocolate

My husband reckons it's real, because of how much the boy is moving his mouth. If it were CG, then they'd probably only have done the eyebrows and left the mouths still (the girl doesn't move her mouth so much as the boy).
Don't particularly like this one. Did like the racing lugage trucks, but the gorilla was definitely best

If anyone's interested, I've just been on another internet forum for mums and the little girl's mum is on there. Apparently it's not CGI, it was done with wires stuck under their hair. She said the most important thing they were looking for was the ability to keep a straight face as so many of the children who auditioned collapsed into giggles when the wires started to move!!

'cos we're all talking about it I guess

I saw the ad while my hub was reading a book. Typically he ignored the whole thing but I was left wondering 'what was that all about?' It's certainly a very memorable ad!
I agree that its memorable, but it would probably be one of those where you think "Yes I remember the funny eyebrows advert, but I can't remember what it was advertising" I can't see that it has any long term marketing value.

As I said earlier, I loved the gorilla ad, but it wasn't until the introduciton of this thread that I even remembered that the gorilla ad was for Dairy Milk Chocolate - it certainly didn't make me buy any. And there's a great car advert where an orchestra is playing different parts of car - but I can't remember what make of car it's for. Surely it's no good having terrific advertisments if there's nothing in it to make the brand itself stay in your mind

Agree that the ad is rather ineffective at getting you to buy the product. I really, really HATE the stupid Moonpig advert. But it's certainly effective advertising!

Now I love the Moonpig ad. She reminds me of Liddy!
