The OLTVA's have been missing since just after midnight last Wednessday night ! Have they passed away? I think we ought to to be told.

They haven't passed away like poor old Addy. They have just been so engrossed in reading her diaries that they have done little else all week. Also they have been snowed in of course. They are thinking of sending extracts to the sunday papers. Maddie Trams believes that the News of the World my be interested in at least five entries.

I have worked in a few nut- houses in my time...

I thought you'd already had lunch! There is still one serving of soup left....

The inmates of a nut house were being taken to a football match. The superintendent got them together beforehand and explained that it would be very busy with a lot of people there. He said, so that they would know that he was speaking to them, he'd finish every instruction with the word "Nuts". So, they got into the coach, and off it went. When it arrived, he said "Off the coach, nuts" and they got off.

They went into the stadium. He said "Sit nuts", and they did. When the National Anthem started, he said "Stand nuts" and they did. All seemed to be going very well indeed until a woman came around shouting "Peanuts, peanuts".

Am I missing something here? The OLTVAs have been mentioned in acouple of threads I've read recently but I don't know what they are. Can anyone enlighten me? Pleaeaeaeaeaeaese?

Think of it as a somewhat surreal soap opera, in which the characters are Old Ladies and a few other assorted odds and bods (most of them *very* odd ). My character is Lavinia, aka Lavvy. I got blown up by me so-called pals, Liddy and Addy, in a gas explosion. I get my own back by haunting them from time to time.

Does that make sense?
