We moved into Mick Jagger's old flat in Edith grove ( just before the stones made it) in Chelsea. it was a rundown area then and the small rented flat was a bit of a dump. He came round to see us, told use where we could hop over the back wall of a shop and pinch bread and milk if we were up early enough. embarassed.gif of course we didn't happy.gif .

Wish he would pop over now and show me how to make some of his cash lol. Mind you he could always Google me and send it over biggrin.gif

I live in Brighton and in my previous job served a few famous people - Mark Williams (Mr Weasley in Harry Potter), Ken Livingstone, and Sally Gunnell. Also literally bumped into Roger Black (well he ran into me on the seafront!). Exciting times.

Ooooh and I went to school with someone who was in Grange Hill!

My flatmate is in the next Harry Potter film - as an extra. He knows Emma Watson though, and doesn't like her. Apparently she's a bit rude and snobby around the extras. Another flatmate's friend - a model - says she's lovely though.
The same flatmate who's in Harry Potter knows Idina Menzel and says she's lovely, and was in the final two of Love Actually for the part of the little boy Sam - and still won't watch it with us, due to bitterness.

A third flatmate's old singing teacher used to teach Kerry Ellis.

I've ridden several famous horses, and I once played the rainmaker with Sir Simon Rattle tongue.gif

I once took a photo of Ruud Van Nistelrooy laugh.gif When I worked in a shop for a few years I served some famous people, Trevor MacDonald, Andrew Marr, the actress that played Nana Moon on Eastenders and Chesney Hawkes. Also, Mick Hill used to live in the house that we live in now. He was an olympic javelin thrower. Or at least we think he lived here, we've had post through for him and we found some sort of javelin training device in the loft blink.gif
PianissiMole
I've played lots of music composed by famous people biggrin.gif

Was at school with Angela Griffin (played Fiona? I think in Corrie and went on to do other things) taught music to Sarah Jayne Potts (Lately starred in casualty as the wife of Stacey and Abs friend - Also was in something with Warren Clarke with her hair all in dreads. (The locksmith?)

Was at school with mel B from the spice girls and played in the band for one of her earliest solo pefromances (in Jesus Christ Superstar).

My husband was an extra in ID with Reece Dinsdale etc.

The band baby Bird (Of You're Gorgeous fame) used to rehearse under the office where my husband had a job whilst a student. This was before they made it BIG.

So a few really.... smile.gif

I have ridden the horse that came in second to Red Rum in one of the Grand Nationals. Not in a race though; just out on a hack after he retired.

I think my cats subsequently ate part of him, and some of him might have gone into some glue I was using earlier today.... tongue.gif

Also my violin teacher plays with loads of famous people, like Kanye West... Katherine Jenkins... but she doesn't think it's a big deal whatsoever ohmy.gif
Oh oh oh and anyone know the composer Jason Lai? i got to play to him biggrin.gif on bbc classical star, but he said that my playing needed to make him feel more like a sheep and that i had to draw in my sheep more.

My piano teacher now doesn't teach and works with artists like Simon Webbe, Natasha Beddingfield and Lily Allen either in the studio or on tour. It's good to see him on TV from time to time smile.gif

My mum used to sing in a choir who recorded an album with Runrig. The junior version of the choir (which I was in at the time - this was years ago!) also sang on the CD. We went to a recording studio and everything - very exciting when you're 11. We didn't get to meet Runrig though, as the seniors and juniors recorded at different times. I have also been on TV with said choir - one of my teachers saw it and told me that she'd seen me on TV - I denied it, though she knew my pleas were a blatant lie!

I also went to school with someone in the Harry Potter films, though I have no recollection of them whatsoever, which is odd seeing as going by their age they must have been in my brother's year.

Um........sheep?

My only claim to fame is speaking to Terry Waite (the then Archbishop's envoy) on the phone a few times. I was working for the Travel Agency that sold him the air ticket that it took him a long time to come back from! My boss wasn't very pleased - it took him years to complete that particular return to the airline company! But that's nothing to being taken hostage, I suppose.

Oh - and I was once filmed in a sailing programme.

I was also an extra in the film Exodus when it was being shot in Cyprus, seem like (wish it was biggrin.gif ) yesterday.

I have a couple of claims to faim involving famous pianists and (bizarrely) Chelsea FC.

Only I can't tell them because I'm afraid someone I know will read it and berate me for opening up on here. blush.gif

I can say though, that I talked to Steven Fry at the Apple shop on Regent's Street the other week. He's really lovely!

This is not a claim to fame:

The author of womens romantic fiction, i.e. Mills and Boon, Emma Blair lived in the same village as us.

Emma is a "nom de plume" for a very tall Scotsman!

My uncle played for Manchester United, and my cousin is a model. Also, I come from the same country as C.S Lewis (author of the Narnia books) and Kenneth Brannagh (Lockhart from Harry Potter) biggrin.gif Great, eh?

And this isn't me, but the student music teacher who spent some time at my school (she still teaches percussion here) is related to Rafa Nadal ohmy.gif Wow! I love Nadal wub.gif tongue.gif

Ha, ha, yes, me too! He is a golfing chum of my husband's ex-vicar! Bagpuss was at school with his daughters.

Umm...I used to teach Dickie Attenborough's grandson and the daughter of Midge Ure and Annabelle Giles - also the daughter of Oscar winning composer Dario Marianelli - ah, just remembered, also taught the granddaughter of actor Christopher Timothy. One of my colleagues taught Tony Blair's daughter (I never had the pleasure, lol).

A friend of mine is currently working with Gareth Malone on another BBC 'choir' programme.

And one of 'The Bootleg Beatles' is currently a student of mine..and one of my best friends is a German Prince..
