I neeeeeed a stiff drink. A large gin please, William. Sympathies re prom dress, Bev - I've just had a similar stress-out with my 8 year old son. Fisticuffs and door slamming. And I've just spent £20 on new music for the
ungrateful brat delightful child.

Isn't you son a little young for a prom dress?

Admit it petrat, you've been playing that contrabass all day, haven't you?...
petrat
Mar 8 2009, 10:08 PM
Actually I've been very good. I have played it twice for about five minutes each time and just sat or stood with the body of it to practise fingerings when I haven't been blowing.
It doesn't get wet like a smaller recorder because of the three foot of pipe that I have attached to the mouthpiece

and it doesn't get warm either but even so I am going to play it in carefully. I don't want to kill it after such a long wait.
Want to share my firkin?

Bother it! Doesn't Batty know that he is supposed to suck rather than blow through a straw? i suppose it was to be expected from a clarinet player.
Goes away to find another and larger spider,
Glad that you enjoyed it Batty. Want a fill up?
