That new reed incident sounded a bit painful Flossie

Yes. It was my own fault, though. I got too absorbed in what I was playing and forgot that it was a new reed! Luckily my bottom lip was still rather sore this morning, but wasn't bad enough to stop me playing my flute.

I'm feeling pleased with the lovey comment I had. I normally get compared negatively to the girl who plays for the other services, although from a technical point of view I'm a better flute player than she is. She's been playing in the church for a lot longer than me and so is much more confident and knows all the music a lot better. She has a very bright tone (which a lot of people seem to prefer) and has a more showy playing style, whereas as I have a much richer tone and am more of a harmony player (which suits my flute...).

I've not done a lot today! A bit of forumming, a bit of clarinetting, sent some posters out for bohemian's recital in June, and that's about it!

I've not done a lot either. Went shopping with a friend after church to help her find a top to wear to her Nan'a funeral. Played with one of our neighbour's cats and then had a nice nap.

Need to do some work tomorrow, though - and I don't like my work at the moment...

Not bad thanks Barry. Went out this morning, and had a little walk this afternoon. Apart from that, I've been very lazy!

I don't like it. I'm not getting anywhere with my writing and am bored and fed up with it. One of my supervisors has been on study leave since Christmas, and my other supervisor was off sick most of the Lent/Epithany term and is now off sick again. Plus we're chucked out of our office while they do some fairly major maintenance work there and I don't have the software and stuff I need.

Am on the verge of starting a 'PhD haters' thread along with BB2.

How are you DC? Happier than me?

It's good to have a lazy day once in a while!

Ooh dear...sorry to hear all that! I hope it will resolve itself soon. I suppose if I said "It will be worth it in the end" you might wallop me, so I won't.....but I'm sure it will!

I'm reasonably happy I guess, thank you. I'm opposite to you in that I want to work but can't at the moment. I keep busy though. (On here mainly, but I do other things as well! )
