Suit yourself! I'll have the onion marmalade with mine then. The kippers and jam we'll keep for HG if he calls in sometime before the week end. We could make a great omelette for him with it. laugh.gif
DaisyChain
biggrin.gif I'm sure he'll look forward to that! tongue.gif
petrat
Quite possibly.

How's things today Daisy?
DaisyChain
Without being selfish...we want it to come to an end very soon... mellow.gif
petrat
Daisy, the jacket spud cannot be THAT bad surely?

Just joking DC. Have PM'd you.

Here, put these old crisps aside for the omelette too. they'll add a bit of extra flavour if not much crunch.

PianissiMole
You could do him a custard jacket spud. I've got some here. *hands over* There's still a few feathers in it, but he will never notice. smile.gif
Holz Gedeckt
*Holz Gedeckt wanders in to the tavern, feeling a bit peckish. Unfortunately, it doesn't look as if they're serving food yet, so he leaves and goes to the Chinese takeaway down the road.*

This tavern is right out of firkins!!!

I'll have a cocktail instead I think. Actually I won't because Mole will probably stick hens feet in it or something else fowl.

I'll try a large perry instead.

We had an interesting omelette planned for you HG.

By the way, don't you have some music to learn old bean?

Rather than a cocktail, why not some lovely C'ock Ale?

What's in it? unsure.gif

Yup! wink.gif Just nipping in for a swift half before returning to play with my organ....

I thought I'd get that one in before Batty Ratty does! rolleyes.gif

What ever is that? Fermented cockerels? ill.gif No thanks. I'll stick to this pear and parsnip perry I think.

The omelette was a kippers and jam one with soggy crisps as a topping. We thought that you would enjoy it.

(If that doesn't send him off to play with his organ nothing will.)

It's a good thing that this tavern has flexible opening times. I'll have a glass of pear and parship please. Anyone else here this evening?

Here for a quick drink smile.gif

I have a loooong journey tomorrow. I need my sleep biggrin.gif
Noxica
Me. Ish.

Got ear problems (got a bubble trapped somewhere in there, and it keeps fizzing away every time I swallow), so will probably go to bed soon, but in the mean time I'll have a large glass of Muscat.

Just come from the "Are You Happy?" thread and I need something strong. How about one of HC's trebles?

It's not too bad actually, just damned irritating because I can hear it bubbling every time I swallow. On t'other hand, that means it's (gradually) working its way out. Which can only be a good thing.

In other news, I just discovered a gloriously enticing wee nugget of information...the Sibelius Academy (in Helsinki) doesnae have any age limits. I wonder what Ching'd say if she came back from Taiwan to find me in the middle of applying for an MMus? rofl.gif

I suspect she'd abandon the tea all together and start on the emergency bourbon laugh.gif

Emergency Bourbon (linking because it's possibly a bit crude for this place)

Yes, it could well be. If it is, I shall name it.

And commuting to Sibelius might be a little bit far to do regularly blink.gif (plus living in Helsinki would make it far easier to pounce on a very, very cute, mildly-famous-guitarist friend-of-a-friend, who has the most gorgeous hair I know of biggrin.gif)
barry-clari
Is your cold any better now Noxica? Did the drinks laced with lemsip help? smile.gif
petrat
Has the bug crawled out of your ear yet?

Another pint of whatever I had last please William.

And none of that fermenting cockerel stuff that you have on special offer either! ill.gif
Noxica
Ish. It's still here, I'm just more irritated by the ear problems than by the cold at the moment.
PianissiMole
I've have a pint o' Speckled Hen. Just stuff it in the glass!

I hope to find you're a lot better when I'm back from York Noxica.
petrat
Are you sure that you wouldn't prefer chicken in a basket Mole?

Pint of rather cross speckled hen coming up then.

Have this pear and parship perry too just in case the hen turns nasty.

Are there many going to York Barry?

Right, best be off. Phantasmagoriana needs a conductor for tomorrow (and no, it's not for the number 15 to Trafalgar Square laugh.gif )

See you all Sunday. Hope the beer's good then! wave.gif

(petrat : just seen your post : 21 if everyone turns up yay.gif )
petrat
Hi HC. How are you this evening?

Have fun in York Batty. Hope it goes really well.
hello_cello
im good thanks, yourself Ratty?

PianissiMole
*turns up hearing aid*
Yes, chicken in a biscuit is a great idea. I have a packet thanks

*downs P&PP in one*
Ah! that's better!
petrat
Yes thank you. I have had a quiet week because of the half term so plenty of time to catch up with practice etc. Today I bought myself two new toys; an MP3 player and a record player to convert my old records to various things through the computer. I haven't had time to try them out yet but the MP3 is charging at the moment.
hello_cello
i thought of you today! I saw a bunch of recorders in Cash Converters tongue.gif We have one in a nearby town for Second hand instruments. Its hugeeeee, they have a bass recorder - plastic - for £200. I didnt think it was that cheap personally..

And whats this about you wanting one of my trebles?

I'll ekshept a treble frum anybody [hic] or even a dubble!
*falls on floor*
petrat
Poor things, all alone and separated from owners who once tried to love them. Sniff sniff!!

£200 for a plastic bass is huge money.

Perhaps Mole wants a glass of Bells' Whisky?

PS Or maybe not! He's had more than enough this evening.
PianissiMole
I won't try to get up, if you don't mind. Just pour it on me!
*lays on back*
petrat
Throws large glass of P and PP at Mole.

How was that then Mole?
hello_cello
*gets funnel*
Righty-o
Crikey, I'm surprised you knew that the Treble is a bell! tongue.gif
