UCAS Tariff points for TCL, ABRSM, LCM and GSMD are all the same.
Trinity grade 6 practical recieves 45 points at Distinction
Trinity grade 6 Theory recieves 15 points at Distinction

Could this have anything to do with your grade 5 theory.... Think more positively about it, don't assume that you'll have to change boards, I'm sure that you'll be fine. And yes, I do believe that Trinity grades get the same UCAS points.

It doesn't, no. I would just rather take trinity because I already have, and have learnt some of the pieces, not that I knew that when they were brought for me for my birthday!

That's good then, I'm glad you're not being negative! If you know the pieces then it may be good for you, just make sure that you're familiar with the different format of aural tests....
