Hiya,
I'm currently living overseas and have young children so don't particularly want to teach piano in the afternoon which is the usual time to teach. I was thinking of trying to sell lessons to the local schools so I could teach at the school in the day time and still be there for the kids in the afternoons. Has anybody done this and if so have you any good ideas on how to sell it to the schools... I am a qualified primary teacher as well as having a DipABRSM in piano teaching so have all the qualities just need some takers. Cheers

You don't say where you are. A lot may depend on whether extra curriculum music lessons are normally included in the school day. Also if language might be a problem. I lived abroad for many years and going into schools as a piano teacher would have been completely alien there, as there is a thriving music school system in that country for all instrumental music lessons.

We have a "music service" that is part of the Council (I think) that provides all the peripatetic teachers for the schools in our area - but they only teach strings, woodwind and brass (not piano/keyboard)
It might be worth investigating what is already available in your area - and any gaps in the market?
