I have my first set of pupils I've ever entered for a singing exam on Tuesday (I teach at a prep school), and I'm just going through all the details. The grade 2 pupils are singing verses 1 and 3 of Morning has Broken because I'd read it as any two verses like a grade 1 piece. But I've just realised it actually says verses 1 and 2!!!! What should I do???? They are only aged 9 and a change at this change would really throw them. Eeekkk!!

Please help!

I can't imagine that this would matter in the slightest! I certainly wouldn't mention it to your young students. In most cases the examiners don't have copies in front of them and are unlikely to notice - or to care much if they did.

Good luck to you all.

I might type out a copy of the words for the examiner with the verses in a different order! biggrin.gif I always give them copies and a little careful editing is handy at times. wink.gif

To be honest, I think it would cause more trouble to change it now than is worth it, and I suspect that the examiner wouldn't notice anyway!

I agree.
